The Electronic Process Guide

The purpose of this Electronic Process Guide (EPG) is to describe how we, the Fall 1998 Writing for Multimedia class, created the Distance Learning: Spanning the Globe CD-ROM and its accompanying website. The process we followed is by no means the only route that can be taken, nor is it necessarily the most efficient. Still, this document describes in some detail our process, in hopes of providing direction for future classes and/or groups who want to create similar projects.

The EPG is divided into three main sections:

Agents: the people involved in the project, identified by the role they undertook in the development team.

Activities: the tasks that had to be accomplished.

Artifacts: the products that were created; not only the final CD-ROM and website, but also intermediate products, presentations, and models.
