from _The Yogi Cook Book_ Banada Raita #1 1 pint yoghurt 2 ripe bananas 1/2 teaspoon cayenne 1 teaspoon sugar 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice Place the yoghurt in a mixing bowl, and whip lightly. Slice the bananas in 1/2 inch slices. Add to the yoghurt with the cayenne, sugar, and lemon juice. Banada Raita #2 1 pint yoghurt 1 teaspoon ghee 1 teaspoon cumin seed 2 cardamom pods (seeds) 2 ripe bananas, peeled and mashed to a pulp 1/4 teaspoon cayenne 1 teaspoon salt Place the yoghurt in a mixing bowl, and whip lightly. Fry the cumin seed and cardamom in the ghee. As soon as they are getting along nicely, add the salt and cayenne. Quickly add the bananas and throw the yoghurt into the pot also. Stir all vigorously and quickly. Taste. Then decide whether to serve hot or cold. Hot? Continue to stir and cook until heated through. Cold? Remove at once and chill.
