Submit to Sudden

We are looking for new, original poetry that reflects quality, imagination and intelligence. Poems should be purposeful with a focus on sound, language, rhythm and voice. We want poetry that moves us; language that speaks to personal experience. The poems we publish have to affect us in a way that makes us and our readers think in our own writing and lives. No children's, nature, religious, or sentimental poetry.

Published electronically three times a year. As of December 17, 1996, our first issue is up! Submission deadlines for the second and third issues are February 1, 1997 and April 1, 1997 respectively. Reports in 2-6 weeks, previously published works and simultaneous submissions welcome. Submit 1-5 poems, no poems longer than 40 lines. All rights revert to author.
